  1. Thank you for visiting my blog, I hope you will visit often. This blog will be dedicated to the characters and content of my new book ‘Declaration of Surrender’ and forth coming sequels.

It is now available through Amazon Kindle (http://www.amazon.com/dp/B003NSBQHW) and Smashwords (http://www.smashwords.com/books/view/16520). By the end of this month, it will be available from Lulu.com. I hope you take the time to visit these sites and consider the book for your next read. I have lowered the price to $4.99 for the downloads for this week only, so I hope that will give you further incentive.

    About the book:

Believing that either Germany or Japan are about to win World War II in early 1945, several members of the United States Congress conspire to protect their own personal wealth by secretly creating a document that would turn ownership rights of all U.S. properties and land, over to the leading country before the end of the war is actually declared. Inadvertently, no country is identified during the creation, leaving any country possessing the document, then or in the future, to own the United States.

The document is signed by the President and passed along underground to the Germans. During a separate operation by U.S. Treasury agents, it is reclaimed after being found concealed within the pages of dozens of Swiss account ledgers worth millions. Days later the agents are found murdered and the documents gone. For the next seven decades it remains hidden.

DHS agent Nick West becomes the prey of foreign government assassins, and sought after for treason by his own country when he discovers the location of the missing sixty-five-year-old document, but refuses to disclose its’ whereabouts in order to protect his own men. During a chance encounter with one of the former U.S. Treasury agents’ daughter, they find the last known link to the case containing the millions and America’s future.

When the teams’ lead systems analyst is found tortured and beaten to death and Nick’s wife is taken hostage, he must form an alliance with an enemy Russian assassin in order to find and protect the document from ‘what is coming’ before time runs out for them and for his country.

“Declaration of Surrender” is an edge of your seat thrill ride from beginning to end.

    Thank you again

    Jim Burkett
